Retreading Solutions

Complete retreading solutions for every application, from pre-cure and mold cure systems to OTR tire rebuilding, supported by advanced bonding technology for superior adhesion, durability, and performance.

  • Pre-cure retreading uses a pre-vulcanized tread rubber that is bonded to the prepared tire casing and cured in an autoclave, providing excellent durability, performance, and extended tire life.

  • Mold cure retreading is a process in which a new tread pattern is molded and vulcanized directly onto a prepared tire casing. After inspection, buffing, repair, and application of new rubber compounds, the tire is placed into a mold where heat and pressure create the final tread design and permanently bond the new rubber to the casing.

  • OTR retreading restores large off-the-road tires used in demanding applications such as mining, construction, and heavy-duty operations. Our solutions extend tire life while delivering durability, reliability, and performance in extreme conditions.

Step-by-Step
Retreading
Process

1.gif

1. Initial Inspection

Each tire casing is carefully inspected to determine its condition and confirm whether it is suitable for retreading.

2.gif

Buffing & Casing Preparation

The remaining tread rubber is removed, and the casing is inspected for defects. Required repairs are identified, and the surface is thoroughly cleaned and prepared.

3.gif

Repairs and Cement Application

Any damage affecting tire performance is repaired using approved repair materials and reinforcement methods. A bonding layer is then applied to ensure proper adhesion.

4. Skiving and Tread Preparation

The casing is precisely prepared to receive the new tread. The surface is refined to achieve the correct profile and ensure optimal bonding.

5. Tread Application (Embedding)

The PRE-Q tread rubber is applied to the prepared crown area of the casing using specialized banding equipment, ensuring uniform placement and a strong bond.

6. Tire Assembly Preparation

Tires are prepared according to the curing system requirements, using the appropriate configuration: without rim (with inner tube, outer envelope, or related components) or with rim, tube, envelope, and protector.

7. Vulcanization

The tire is cured in an autoclave under controlled temperature and pressure conditions, permanently bonding the new tread to the casing.

Final Inspection

Each retreaded tire undergoes a final inspection using the PRE-Q GALGO system to verify casing integrity, tread quality, cushion rubber, repairs, and overall appearance before finishing and delivery.
